Capturing Time in María Jesús Rivero´s Work

María Jesús reinforced her vocation for the arts at the Escuela de Artes de Oviedo, Asturias, Spain; notwithstanding, her impetus for painting led her to learn from the great masters in the most renowned museums within and without Spain. She did a stint in Madrid and then abroad to take a closer look at 20th-Century Painting. Europe proved to be milestones along her road to inspiration: The landscape and its representation summoned up both the roughness and majesty of Nature displayed in the seasonsof the year.
Later on this would become the source for her inspiration.
She settled in Asturias after her enlightening experiences abroad. She lived in Gijón and Oviedo and then she decided to set up house in Trubia, a town nearby Oviedo where Nature still plays a role and this is reflected in the work of María Jesús. Painting has become a passion that she wants to share with anyone with a proclivity for it. Many young and old people, students, alike have been motivated in her painting workshops.
